Abstract

This book presents a description and interpretive analysis of the processes of diffusion and adoption of CIM technologies, by technology, sector and country. Comprising nine chapters, the book is authored by eight eminent researchers in the field of technological diffusion. Technologies covered range from NC machine tools through to full computer integrated manufacturing. The book offers models of diffusion, national and international case studies, and forecasts of international diffusion to the year 2010.
