Final Report to Sponsor (Research Agreement Phase I): Toyota Motor Corporation, Japan (March 2009)Full text not available from this repository.
This Final Report documents work at IIASA in the first period of the Toyota Ozone project, i.e., October 2008 - March 2009. Main activities in this period are related to tasks 1.1 and 1.2, i.e., developing nitrogen oxides (NOx) and non-methane volatile organic compounds (NMVOC) emission inventories for 2000 and 2005 for Asian countries included in the project (PRC China, Japan, South Korea, ROC Taiwan, and India).
The following milestones were envisaged for the period October 2008 - March 2009: Development of the 2000 and 2005 activity and emission factor databases and implementation of them in GAINS; the model is now operational with a complete but preliminary data set; Collection and update (in the GAINS model) of information on legislation and penetration of abatement measures for NOx and NMVOC; Opening the model for project internal use with the 2000-2005 data; Presentation of initial estimates for 2000 and 2005 for all concerned countries; Hosting research staff from TERI to assist in the implementation of the NMOVC inventory for India; and Interim Report.
The sections of the report describe method, progress in achieving the planned activities and present preliminary results.
