Abstract

This chapter provides an overview of the contents of Volume 9 of the treatise. It summarizes and highlights the philosophy, theoretical framework, mathematics, and application of analytical protocols in modern ecosystems ecology and modeling. Each chapter is briefly discussed in the context of estuarine and coastal ecosystems modeling.
