Abstract

This dataset provides complementary information supporting the manuscript Potentials for reductions of global GHG and air pollutants from circular municipal waste management systems, submitted for publication as a research article in Nature Communications. The dataset provides detailed information on emission estimates of methane, particulate matter and air pollutants from municipal solid waste, including emission factors, and municipal solid waste generation and treatment, globally as well as by region (urban-rural) and scenario.
