Abstract

The achievement of the human right to water is a matter of hydrological security. In Mexico, at the federal and local levels, legislative initiatives have emerged in order to modernize water management and above all, to respond to the challenges imposed by the access and use of water resources. As a result, a series of policy reforms has been carried out to develop public related policy instruments. With these instruments, Mexico is being called upon to respond effectively to the commitments made at the international level, but especially to needs related to the access and use of water for the Mexican population.
