Abstract

This dataset contains a Jupyter Notebook code and data required to reproduce analysis and figures featured in the research article titled 'Learning, economies of scale, and knowledge gap effects on power generation technology cost improvements', published in iScience.

In this work, we disentangle economies of scale at the unit and project levels from learning effects. To quantify how quickly a technology can increase its unit and project sizes, the knowledge gap effect is introduced. These concepts are discussed in more details in the article.

We perform our analysis using Numpy Python package, written in Jupyter Notebook application, and all data is availabe in .csv format. All tables and figures fetured in the iScience article can be reproduced by this code. Further questions can be addressed to Yoga W. Pratama (pratama@iiasa.ac.at).
