The Swedish case ispublished: pub abstract: Discusses forestry and the forest industry (the 'forest sector') as the main rural employers when there is an institutional requirement for sustainable yield. Problems arise when total wood removals are on the same level as annual forest growth. Possibilities to increase employment in the forest sector are limited through the requirement for a sustainable yield. At the same time, a continuing increase in productivity within the forest sector will cause a gradual reduction of the labour force. date: 1984 date_type: published publisher: National Research Council of Canada id_number: 10.1139/x84-126 creators_browse_id: 2131 full_text_status: none publication: Canadian Journal of Forest Research volume: 14 number: 5 pagerange: 707-711 refereed: TRUE issn: 0045-5067 coversheets_dirty: FALSE fp7_project: no fp7_type: info:eu-repo/semantics/article citation: Lönnstedt, L.
