Such large time-dependent problems are treated both by optimal-control and linear-programming techniques. A multiregional population-growth model forms the state equation of the DLP problem. Budget, resource, and quality-of-life constraints are considered. The paper describes the formalization of the HSS planning problem and suggests methods for its solution. date: 1978-02-21 date_type: published publisher: SAGE id_number: doi:10.1068/a100561 creators_browse_id: 2308 creators_browse_id: 1665 full_text_status: none publication: Environment and Planning A volume: 10 number: 5 pagerange: 561-576 refereed: TRUE issn: 0308-518X coversheets_dirty: FALSE fp7_type: info:eu-repo/semantics/article citation: Propoi, A. & Willekens, F.
