These measures describe how likely a system is to fail (reliability), how quickly it recovers from failure (resiliency), and how severe the consequences of failure may be (vulnerability). These criteria can be used to assist in the evaluation and selection of alternative design and operating policies for a wide variety of water resource projects. The performance of a water supply reservoir with a variety of operating policies illustrates their use. date: 2010 date_type: published publisher: Wiley id_number: doi:10.1029/WR018i001p00014 creators_browse_id: 1943 creators_browse_id: 2138 full_text_status: public publication: Water Resources Research volume: 18 number: 1 pagerange: 14-20 refereed: TRUE issn: 00431397 coversheets_dirty: FALSE fp7_type: info:eu-repo/semantics/article citation: Hashimoto, T. , Stedinger, J.R., & Loucks, D.P.
