Robustness is proposed as a measure of the likelihood that the actual cost of a proposed project will not exceed some fraction of the minimum possible cost of a system designed for the actual conditions that occur in the future. The robustness criterion is illustrated by its application to the planning of water supply systems in southwestern Sweden. date: 1982-02 date_type: published publisher: Wiley id_number: 10.1029/WR018i001p00021 creators_browse_id: 1943 creators_browse_id: 2138 full_text_status: public publication: Water Resources Research volume: 18 number: 1 pagerange: 21-26 refereed: TRUE issn: 00431397 coversheets_dirty: FALSE fp7_type: info:eu-repo/semantics/article citation: Hashimoto, T. , Loucks, D.P. , & Stedinger, J.R.
