But the question is an important one, and attempts to answer it will have a significant effect upon what systems analysis as an intellectual discipline eventually becomes. Whatever the final content of the discipline is seen to be, we may be sure that it will be affected by the work of the International Institute of Applied Systems Analysis, Laxenburg, Austria. It is therefore an important development that IIASA intends to publish, in its "International Series", monographs on the "state-of-theart"
in Applied Systems Analysis, as well as a Handbook.</mods:abstract><mods:originInfo><mods:dateIssued encoding="iso8601">1978</mods:dateIssued></mods:originInfo><mods:genre>Article</mods:genre></mets:xmlData></mets:mdWrap></mets:dmdSec><mets:amdSec ID="TMD_eprint_14274"><mets:rightsMD ID="rights_eprint_14274_mods"><mets:mdWrap MDTYPE="MODS"><mets:xmlData><mods:useAndReproduction>
