The proposed procedure allows incorporating data from satellite images, statistics, expert opinions, as well as data from global land use models. In numerous case studies in China and Ukraine, the approach allowed to estimate local land use and land use change projections corresponding to real trends and expectations. The disaggregated data and projections were used in national models for planning sustainable land use and agricultural development. date: 2017-03-27 date_type: published publisher: Springer id_number: 10.1007/s10559-017-9917-7 creators_browse_id: 83 creators_browse_id: 338 creators_browse_id: 119 creators_browse_id: 212 creators_browse_id: 174 creators_browse_id: 98 creators_browse_id: 316 creators_browse_id: 219 full_text_status: public publication: Cybernetics and Systems Analysis volume: 53 number: 2 pagerange: 176-185 refereed: TRUE issn: 1573-8337 projects: Economics of climate change adaptation in Europe (ECONADAPT, FP7 603906) projects: Assessment of the impact of drivers of change on Europe's food and nutrition security (TRANSMANGO, FP7 613532) projects: Stimulating Innovation for Global Monitoring of Agriculture and its Impact on the Environment in support of GEOGLAM (SIGMA, FP7 603719) projects: Exploring the potential for agricultural and biomass trade in the Commonwealth of Independent States (AGRICISTRADE, FP7 612755) coversheets_dirty: FALSE fp7_project: yes fp7_project_id: info:eu-repo/grantAgreement/EC/FP7/603906/EU//ECONADAPT; info:eu-repo/grantAgreement/EC/FP7/613532/EU//TRANSMANGO; info:eu-repo/grantAgreement/EC/FP7/603719/EU//SIGMA; info:eu-repo/grantAgreement/EC/FP7/612755/EU//AGRICISTRADE fp7_type: info:eu-repo/semantics/article access_rights: info:eu-repo/semantics/closedAccess citation: Ermolieva, T. , Ermoliev, Y. , Havlik, P.
