The research is motivated by a problem of reconstruction of time-varying intensities of pollution sources in a water reservoir via measuring pollutant concentrations in accessible domains. We start with convergent input estimation algorithms for a system described by a general parabolic equation. One of the algorithms is specified for a particular diffusion-type groundwater contamination model, and tested numerically.</mods:abstract><mods:originInfo><mods:dateIssued encoding="iso8601">1995-12</mods:dateIssued></mods:originInfo><mods:originInfo><mods:publisher>WP-95-075</mods:publisher></mods:originInfo><mods:genre>Monograph</mods:genre></mets:xmlData></mets:mdWrap></mets:dmdSec><mets:amdSec ID="TMD_eprint_4521"><mets:rightsMD ID="rights_eprint_4521_mods"><mets:mdWrap MDTYPE="MODS"><mets:xmlData><mods:useAndReproduction>
