The research is motivated by a problem of reconstruction of time-varying intensities of pollution sources in a water reservoir via measuring pollutant concentrations in accessible domains. We start with convergent input estimation algorithms for a system described by a general parabolic equation. One of the algorithms is specified for a particular diffusion-type groundwater contamination model, and tested numerically. date: 1995-12 date_type: published publisher: WP-95-075 iiasapubid: WP-95-075 price: 10 creators_browse_id: 1393 creators_browse_id: 2155 creators_browse_id: 2619 full_text_status: public monograph_type: working_paper place_of_pub: IIASA, Laxenburg, Austria pages: 39 coversheets_dirty: FALSE fp7_type: info:eu-repo/semantics/book citation: Kryazhimskiy, A.V. , Maksimov, V.I. , & Samarskaya, E.A.
