Abstract

This invited presentation was given at the Group on Earth Observations (GEO) Virtual Symposium 2022 (with the theme ‘Global Action for Local Impact’), where all discussions were then fed into the development of the 2023-2025 GEO Work Programme. Work on citizen science and EO in the urban domain (including work currently being undertaken at IIASA) was presented, where IIASA was representing GEO’s community activity on citizen science. The presentation was also intended to inform a new GEO priority initiative on urban resilience.
