Project: Next generation of AdVanced InteGrated Assessment modelling to support climaTE policy making (NAVIGATE, H2020 821124)

Abstract

Several s and therefore underestimate the CI consequences. Here, we include some climate impacts and adaptation strategies for the WEL sectors in an IAM. We develop global mitigation scenarios to achieve the 2.0C by 2100 and scenarios that explore WEL SDG targets and look at the difference when including climate impacts in the model. We show that adding geophysical sector-explicit climate impacts not only affects the investment balance between scenarios but, most importantly, provides new insights into sectoral transitions and regional distribution of mitigation and SDG policy costs.
