Abstract
We introduce a notion of attractor to community-dynamical processes as they are studied in biological models and their computer simulations. This attractor concept is modeled after the Conley-Ruelle attractor. It incorporates the fact that in an immigration-free community-dynamical process populations can go extinct at low values of their densities.
