Abstract

The MCPFE report "State of Europe's Forests 2007" was presented at the fifth Ministerial Conference on the Protection of Forests in Europe (MCPFE), held in Warsaw from November 57, 2007. The report gives an overview of the state and development of sustainable forest management in Europe in the period between 1990 and 2005. It is a sequel to the coverage of previous ministerial conferences. The report at hand was compiled jointly by the MCPFE Liaison Unit in Warsaw, the Economic Commission for Europe of the United Nations, and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations.
