Abstract

The Energy-Emission-Register takes as an input the results from the M.P. Energy Supply-Model, i.e. time-series for the annual Energy input by energy type and user sector.

Four steps are involved in the computations of the emission model. At first all emissions are computed individually, and then they are added according to different schemes.

(1) Emissions by Energy Type: Four different energy types are considered, i.e. solid fuels, liquid fuels, gaseous fuels and nuclear energy.

(2) Emissions by Technology: Emissions from five user sectors are considered: electrical power generation, central heat plants, transportation, industry, residential/commercial sector.

(3) Total Emissions: CO2, SO2, hydrocarbons, nitrogen oxides and aerosols.

(4) Accumulated Total Emissions.
